Is working in a pen-lines with a bunch of short strokes sort of style just resigning your wrist to suicide or is there a method to it
I've been trying to use my index finger to push the pen but it gets tired easily

I won't disagree that talent exists and some people will always be bad, but I'd argue its actually more inspiring to see bad art done by someone who has practiced like hell everyday for years.
Regardless of the outcome, if you can honestly say you've worked your guts out at a hobby fully aware of the fact you'll never be as good as someone woth natural talent, you'll still probably be better than average AND you'll be a complete badass role model to look up to.
For reference though, pic related was drawn by Miura at the age of 10, try telling me most adults could draw anything better.
