And here I showed an example from a reference pic from the old thread for how to split an abstract shape like eye in to few lines in perspective. Really look for the directions of the lines when drawing the lids, the opening of the eye.

And keep in mind the direction where the surface is falling - the roundness of the eyeball. If I try to plot out where to place my iris and pupil, I often draw this archy construction line I illustrated and then plot out the middle of the pupil there. Lines are always easier to place than abstract shapes.

And when drawing portrait, don't do one eye at time, but hop back and forth between the eyes and remember to look back and hold the drawing at arms length to really see whats going on. If you have difficulties with this habit, maybe place 3 minute timer on your phone and always when it rings, step back and look at your drawing. Remember that eyes sit on holes of your skull, not on the surface on the face. It shouldn't be left to the rendering stage, but to show at your drawing from early stages that eyes are deep in the skull. This can be illustrated by drawing the pinches and crevices between the nose and tear duct. and clearly placing the brow line (or brow ridge) as an arch on top of the eyes. Notice that eyebrows don't always reside at the brow line, but depending on a facial expression, age and other factors they may be arching way higher or even droop lower.

I hope this helps at least someone struggling with portraits, heads, faces or placement of the lips / eyes etc.
