In the past I'd said many times that the smaller Cintiqs weren't worth a damn (judging by my experience with the 12WX) but I'd also mused that "maybe" the larger ones were, and I felt I ought to buy one just so I could have the experience and know I wouldn't be misleading anybody. Now I definitely know better.

While that's not necessarily true of the others here (just because some of the older people in this ITT thread don't draw doesn't mean they don't have other skills of course), my personal anecdote and experience is certainly a cautionary tale for you younger guys and girls. You can't take all of the time you spend shitposting on imageboards or playing videogames. The older we get the more we tend to become set in our ways and the harder it becomes to change our habits.

If I recall correctly our resident latin lothario Firez is a bit older than me but (unlike me) he appears to be improving relatively steadily so good on him. As long as you can keep yourself from dicking around too much you're not completely hopeless within reason.

People need to stop stringing these two words together like they mean anything. There are tablets that suck (like 95% of them) and ones that don't (Screened tablets, Intuos 'X' Large, Giano), and that's it. 8 x 5 tablets suck no matter how inexpensive they are, but this one seems to have a set of problems all its own

If you want to use something that sucks wind because you'd rather gimp yourself for years with inferior hardware than spend another hundred dollars or so that's your business, but don't say I didn't warn you. I bet you won't be this stingy next time you're considering upgrading your graphics card will you?
