I want to write a book to learn to draw, focused on begginers who don't know or maybe don't care or don't realize what they need to know.

But I want to focus more on the mindset and how to approach the journey, how to maximise improvement, the power of discipline, how to build a proper one year curriculum to learn to draw.

I'm not a professional and I think /ic/ would call my art not professional or even mediocre, but I've gotten normies in facebook to ask me for waifu and tutorials.

In any case, this book idea is more like a mindset tutorial to properly learn to draw and shit.

Also, teaching what's the purpose of perspective, or why you need a color pallethe or just tricks like knowing how to use reference and 3D tools to cheat.

It's more focused on the meta part, than teaching anatomy or perspective.

Wonder if /ic/ would be interested in the ramblings of a failed artist and how to avoid decades of stagnation and my overall experience they would need to start to practice hard and become good in a short amount of time.

Is there any video that talks how most of all modern art and contemporanean art will be forgotten?

I think I am at the point where I don't care about money or fame and the only thing I care is to focus on practicing my fundamentals, study realism and master such style even if I am interested in animu girls.

It seems at this point the only things that matters to me is to practice and grind my fundies, but for some reason I not longer see practice as bad, just feels like doing my reps in a gym, it will take a shit ton of daily effort but eventually with enough practice you can become swole like gigga nigga.

It seems to me right now that my only purpose in life is to start practicing with no other purpose than self improvement.

This, totally this!

The past 6 months has been me starting to sketch, losing confidence a minute later and sketching something else. Eventually, the whole day is spent doodling some stuff that isn't finished and what I know could look better. It's a cycle that I go through everyday, and it feels like my energy to draw drains after every sketch.

It's even more discouraging when I see other artists draw way better stuff, making me question why I should even try. Even caused an emotional breakdown or two.

What would be your ideal life as an artist? tell us your dream, Anon.

>mfw I still don't even know what I want to become in the future
Once I find something I want to reach, I swear I will pursue it nonstop. But so far I'm really lost, both in art and in life, so I just live my boringly easy life and sketch random stuff to hone my skills while I'm at it.

Anyways, what about you? what kind of life do you want to achieve? what or who would be good enough for you to think "this is how I want my future me to live like"?

Yeah, sorry about that. My visual library is just a baby regarding creature design, so I was kinda expecting to be generic in the end. I tried what I could with the shape of the head, though. Since mine is more of the same, would you mind showing me another design with the same elements? you know, to get some direction. And to expand my visual library, might as well.

As I said there are separate categories according to the age of the participant, I think they're three.

I could try to do something meaningless that looks meaningful too, and judges would waste--I mean have a good time trying to figure out the message of it. But then I don't want to get the "cooool, whaddoes it mean?", unless I manage to make up some vague response for the question. I don't want to get any questions, actually. To be honest I should be trying to get inspiration and ideas instead of speculating about my future spaghetti drop caused by having social exposition.

I have almost the exact same problem.

What makes it worse is that I struggle with even the most basic of contours (remember toilet guy? that was me.)... but it's not like I spent a whole lot of time trying that anyway.

Is it just a matter of patience? How long should copying the contour of an object take for a beginner?
