it's not that AI is going to kill digital/traditional artists
it's that art itself is going to become so fucking irrelevant because any random anon is going to be able to create any artwork for a videogame, album cover, or anything without any help
you're better off learning how to create videos/music/videogames even though AI is going to learn how to make those too in a few years
the good thing is that those AI "Artists" who are laffing now are going to be irrelevant and utterly useless within the next 5 years because guess what; nobody fucking needs (you) either, you have no skill, and anybody can do what you do with a 5 min tutorial, even a 60-year-old man with 0 knowledge will be able to create the art for his website without any help
