The foreground linework is well executed whereas the overall composition and value distribution is lacking. The eye is drawn to the darkest areas and one of them is a indistinct charred mass next to the cannon.
The perspective needs work. Level off the horizon line and the brick wall is off.
Drawing beams of sunlight is not a good idea. Your light sourcing and shadows are weak and inconsistent. Be cognizant of your light source and its effects on your masses and their resultant shadows.
Try to keep these things in mind when working; if you're overwhelmed focus on one issue until you feel more comfortable with it and move to another next drawing.
