How do I draw faces looking straight on without them turning out ugly and flat?
I've only just started studying anatomy recently. And I spent a bunch of time drawing faces from different angles- which I can do with relative ease now- but faces straight on come out very bad.
I've also noticed that most artists I look up to never draw faces straight on! Is this just a general thing you guys avoid? I recall hearing about straight-on views being hard.
I'm very confused and mad at myself for not being able to draw.
