insanely obvious to me now that I made it far too long and screwed the proportions, likely because I was being very loose with broad strokes to feel the form out at the start, but I didn't take into account where things should be from there

the 'armpit' should have lined up with the ears vertically, the base of the tail should be lined up with the middle of the arm horizontally etc, small stuff like that could have easily fixed it
