oh i understand exactly now, i remember i learned about this at some point but i never applied it. so things farther away would meld further into the color of the background because of the increasing volume of air and stuff in between the viewer and the object
i can see how the initial pic is confusing especially where the characters overlap, i'll remember this in the future
