Thinking simple = easy is a classic rookie mistake. Rookies go straight to trying to draw simple easy styles, instead of learning their fundamentals. Fundies THEN style = great looking style. Going to style while skipping your fundies = shit looking art made by someone who skipped their fundies. that's why /ic/ and other boards HATE when newbies go straight to stylized art, like NIGGER YOU DON'T GET TO SKIP YOUR FUNDIES GO LEARN THEM.

TL;DR still life -> real life people -> anime people. no skipping
