I mostly do doodles like the one you quoted, and quick color drawings sometimes. Mostly imagination anime girls. My favorite resource is Anatomy for Sculptors by Zarins. I also keep a folder with artists whose styles I like. Sometimes when I look at hentai or anime or something and see a good abstraction, I pause and try to figure out what the artist did (this becomes much easier with some knowledge of fat deposits and major muscle groups). What I've posted on my twitter is almost my entire body of work the last year+. Might be good for laffs.
