Fair enough, I just don't recall liking my 12wx very much because of the limited space, but admittedly the only real deal breaker was this driver issue I'd been having (nearly a decade ago). I gave it to a more established artist friend of mine like a week ago and he seems to love it and doesn't have many of those problems I was having as far as I know (he's definitely going to get a rude awakening with the color though).

W-well I mean I'm not rich and I've bought a lot of tablets myself over time. I was just projecting, I only bought as many tablets as I did because I kept thinking the next one I bought was going to turn me into John K before he became a recluse or one of those Japaneses with their wacky animes. Needless to say, I was wrong. It did however give me experience with a wide variety of devices and led me to my current extremist position on tablets so I suppose it wasn't a total waste.

Sell it and get a Giano or a Intuos Large bud

Over the years I've had plenty of problems with Wacom, mostly somewhat innocuous fidgety stuff that was patched later but in one instance these problems were essentially fatal. However, I still think due to both the industry-standard stylus and ubiquitous software support (thanks to their monopoly) the Wacoms are begrudgingly worth the extra money (starting at the large Intuos models exclusively).

The Giano is by far the best "starter/first timer" tablet, and anyone that's even entertaining the idea of drawing freehand on their computer more than a couple times a year that chooses not to get it whom otherwise can't afford an Intuos Large or Cintiq is playing themselves. It is absolutely worth the extra $80 or so over the 610 or 1060PRO and blows the Intuos Medium and its juniors out of the water.
