SEND THEM some of you art (doesn't matter how bad it is), ask them to look at it, to offer an opinion, and ask for critique. Professionals love it when you show them you're not just all talk, that you actually try and work at it. They were in your shoes once, and know what it feels like to be a rookie. They'll help you if they can, but they're usually busy so don't hassle 'em
