No I'm familiar with the concept of symbol drawing. Vaguely remember it from 20 years ago when I was learning this shit. I asked you what you were looking at that made you think this.

Bet you read the same one article about this too. I don't draw what I think noses look like I spend a lot of time building out the form as it appears in the reference. Often I check different angles of their nose to get a better sense of the form as it relates to the angle of the image I'm drawing and stuff. Like I still dont know if you really understand what is meant by "symbol drawing" if you're looking at any of the sketches thinking I was just left-brain drawing what I think a nose looks like, particularly when you're also whining that I rely too much on references.
