Take this warning from Comic artist Ethan Van Sciver (slightly changed)
All stalkers start the same
They start as your biggest fan and supporter obsessed with you and your work,
eventually you will do something that they dont like (ignoring them when they annoy you with spam or requests, you not wanting a closer relationship, supporting someone they hate)
they then get angry because you "betrayed" them and insist that you make things right with them personally,
when you brush them off for being a crazy person and spamming you they become convinced that you have been a liar and a phony the entire time,
what happens next is them spending all day every day slandering you to anyone that will listen and there is nothing you can do or say that will make it stop because now they are a fan of trying to hurt you and their new obsession is ruining your life.
Even if every community shuns them for being a nutjob stalker they will continue to play victim and keep slandering you to anyone who will listen.
