My best shake at it. I find it helps me to try to paint with hard round no opacity and as few colors as possible, focusing on the shapes. In theory any form can be depicted with just 3 distinct colors and only hard edges. I find if I cannot do that for my subject I do not understand it well enough and go do some studies from ref using that method.
