desu i'm really tired, sorry for any jumbled wording. i think duplication is probably just practice and observation of traits. again, personally i dont find making approximate duplications overly hard (though if i try to go for extremely accurate it's tism), you just have to break it down. as for douga, after googling for examples i dont think so, at least partially bcause your linework could use a lot of work. the issue is just an overall quality/lacking mileage issue and not a style issue, if i had to guess
