you can easily do sight measuring techniques even in digital. i use screenless tablet so all i did was slapping reference on left half of monitor and drew on right half. you can even do the thing where you hold your arm and position your thumb on stylus to take proportions and then compare them.

But even if you have screen tablet, just use your TV to display the plate, sit at according distance so tv screen is to your tablet 1:1 and draw away.

i believe in trad bargue course you are supposed to position your canvas at a distance and angle which allows you to copy ref 1:1 aka exactly as you see (the plates are printed at fuck HUGE paper, like A1 or A0, so even at distance they will have same height as your smaller canvas).

But as i said, other beg books teach observation techniques too and are way better at it with easier skill curve.

i have yet to draw a single attractive female face. Men are kinda easy: sharp edges, extra lines just add character. But when i do the same on woman face it turns them into hags.

Maybe it is just my bias since i dont want to have sex with men so i dont have high standards for them unlike the sex sex sex gender.

Hello beg! I see i made it to the OP. I would celebrate if op didnt pick the piece where i heavily fucked up the womans face. Oh well. Begs being beg and all.

i will just say i think you did better simply because it was your second attempt + you practiced a lot before, not necessarily because you practiced perspective

one piece anime? ruffy?

the drapery has so small folds and so limited shades it is kinda flat

i see you wield the power of doodling. these little ornaments where one line is shared between multiple symbols is still eluding me. thumbs up!

i presume you are on gesture grind. you improve by simply doing gestures + every 50/100 gestures you draw and render one whole figure (out of the gesture)
>>6550120
yes. if in doubt pick up some figure drawing book, sticky is full of recc books about it. vilpu, bridgman, loomis, hamilpton and so on
>>6549905
i started feeling the form by accident while on gesture grind. basically after you draw enough shit it should click in. you can also try book: art and science of drawing by eviston. that book is ALL about feeling the form + its targeting prebegs hard

i would argue the opposite: the virgin fantasies about how awesome sex is can easily outpace the boring reality, resulting in masterpiece coom drawings.

you have the wrong mindset anon. we learn by challenge. by attempting to draw something you cannot you learn the most. you have to believe in the process and yourself. more details in keys to drawing

>less lines
according to Nicolaides good gesture is omega fast paced scribble with 1 continuous line where you dont lift the pen until gesture is done. Try that
>>6549587
not all studies are copies, not all copies are studies. But yes, you level up multiple drawing skills just by making copies and multiple books heavily recommend doing master studies
>>6549536
good

You are supposed to draw in between posting
