I don't want to be a Debbie downer anon but it's gonna take a lot more than 100 or 500 or what have you, even the seasoned pros still measure their stuff from time to time to make sure that everything is there. Granted, like the other anon said, you'll eventually become less reliant on these tools as they turn into second nature and the mileage piles up.

Art is not a race but a marathon, everyone feels like giving up at certain plateaus because things don't go your way but you have to keep pushing through the mud until it clicks.

Just remember that you're always competing against yourself, don't pay too much attention to the dick measuring contest between yourself and a random dude who has been on the grind for decades, it'll mess you up. You'll always improve by finding the flaws on your own work and working on those weaknesses.

Check the video course general, I think somebody uploaded that course a few years ago, although it doesn't have any English subs AFAIK, or the asg site.

There's also Erik Olson's perspective course from NMA, a lot of people give him shit for being a "slog" or "sleep inducing" but I've found that listening to him repeat the concepts over and over "so they're driven home" as he says certainly helped. You could look into Scott "autism" Robertson's how to draw book too but his explanations can be too technical/advanced since he assumes that you already have some perspective chops under your belt
