Yeah, I've already prepared 3 drafts for the portfolio (spent all day drawing yesterday) and they have lots of soul and technique. All 3 are my best pieces yet, incorporate techniques I've never used before and for contrast they are 50x better than this piece. Once I'm done with the idea all I need is to clean it up and render it with different mediums

I want to do something in-between. My friend told me my drawings look like Bleach, so I might go for that. That way I can get the best of both worlds: practicing realism while drawing anime. I like to reference eyes from artists like Sakimichan.
