I know that's a rhetorical question, but ... I joined LAS/DAD specifically *because* of the mecha challenge. It's already what I wanted to do, but the challenge pushed me to work harder and more consistently.

As >>3466619 correctly surmised, I'm in /tg/ as often (or perhaps even more often) than /ic/. The Battletech General thread in >>>/tg/ has it's own booru (http://bgb.booru.org), chock-full of gearheads' yet-to-be-illustrated designs, plus .. well, you could always make your own.

If that's not enough, there's >>>/m/ (an entire board devoted to mecha) and I also understand there's a giant robot/mecha general thread over in >>>/vg/, too. Never been there, though.
