I've recently created this (mines on left, obviously). An artist I follow on twitter posted a cool image and i recreated it really well, but i still cant draw things that I want to draw myself, even with a reference.

Should i stop copying other artists' works and genuinely start grinding out gesture/figure drawing/form studies?
