I'm aware of the ojou-sama laugh tag in most booru sites but everything I found either looked just as weird or they use some weird way to circumvent having to pose the arm like that

I thought the same once I woke up this morning, it looked fine to my unadjusted eyes but once I stared at the drawing for half an hour it stood out to me once again. What do you mean you don't think it'd be foreshortened at that angle? I have to adjust the shoulder/upper arm area a bit maybe? and yes, it's meant to be a slight 3/4 angle, not so front-facing
