Is there a reason to use watercolor-specific paper over mix-medias papers? An art chain store has their home brand for mix-medias for more than half the price of any watercolor.

It's called the tkmiz artstyle because it's how tkmiz draws. Nothing that I know of directly apes the style but the most prominent and obvious example of a similar one (probably inspired tkmiz' style) would be from Made In Abyss.
