I learned stuff from the book, but honestly i spent 4 months on it. It would be utter madness to spend 4 months drawing and somehow not learn anything. You can definitely try it out, the book is very elaborate of what to do, how to do it and for how long you should be doing it. So you can try out 1 week schedule and decide for yourself if you can or cannot stomach it. Or just trying out each exercise type once or twice. I did about 70% of the prescribed grind before i decided it is time to move on.

Nicolaides approach to drawing is TURBO UNIQUE and in many places it is direct opposite to the general observational drawing techniques. Its as if the dodson book is yin and nicolaides is yang. What one book claims as a fact the other book will say its opposite is true.

I can recommend keys to drawing to anyone. It is fast, to the point and very practical, it delivers results fast. I cannot do the same with natural way to draw. It was mind opening experience but i wont say it is needed to make it.
