Ok, on a more serious note you, your words make me feel like you are feeling guilty for not understanding this and thus you blame someone/something (your brain in this situation) for you not being able to accomplish the goal you have set for yourself and you need a scapegoat to protect your integrity and good intentions. Even tough if your brain would not be able to operate in 3D then you literally would not be able to perform basic tasks that require spatial awareness like grabbing an object before you with your hands.

Listen Anon, it is fine okay? IT IS FINE! It is fine to not be able to understand something. It is just frustration and hopelessness that talks out of you. You can this, do not give up! Just do more basic perspective exercises like boxes, in art school people draw just boxes for months. So do not worry just keep working at it, have faith that it will clear out.

in this piece only muted grayish colors are used. somehow they still go so well with a blank background.

there also seems to be a slight use of texture.

not sure what kind of brush they used though.
anyone has any tips on getting this aesthetic?
