I agree that identifiable collage will always be inferior to whatever else is available, especially because it often doesn't follow a consistent unique style between the photoshopper's works. The thing that made me care the most about art until now is how unique styles can be created and maintained as a testament to one's creative identity. My admiration for every artist's trace is what made me want to become one. And My biggest fear was already made true: AI can copy someone's style.

Dalle 2 can do it to an extent, and other AIs too though more primitively. What will happen the day someone with a public portfolio writes "[...] Drawn by [Me]" and presses enter on a generator, only to see something he never recalled drawing ever before, but could have very well been drawn by himself? Would he think he truly made it, or that it is the AI's application of his methods? His thoughts process would come full circle and some bizarre depersonalization episode would ensue. If or when AI reaches such a state, the consequences are simply way too terrible to even imagine.
