It's a lot of variables. Appeal, composition and emotion play a big role.
You can draw me the coolest, well designed robot, but if it's just standing there, doing absolutely nothing then of course i'll get quickly bored by it.

You need to try. Many people will be looking at your artwork and maybe you won't get any instant reaction, but if your stuff is genuine you're playing the long game.

If you drew the same weebbait for a month straight, you could get at his current level
When i first saw his work i thought it was cute and saved it, but always ended up deleting it even before i knew who the guy was.
His work is uninspiring and gets boring the more you look at it
But, i can see why he became popular, since everyone and their mothers have become tasteless weeaboos

Art should be about expressing yourself and have fun with others but it has devolved into another consumerist media.
10 years from now art will completely be just another soulless job which constists of drawing borderline porn so that it can sell whatever they're advertising for.
Most artists were never recongnized until after the day they died because then their paintings had value and could be sold at high prices.
That's why people buy art. They hope you will die to re-sell the smut you drew for 20 bucks, tenfold.
Don't bother getting good. Stop giving a shit and just have fun.
