Huh, never thought about it. That explains the drastic artstyle change. Did he feed a bunch of his art and other people's artists to some custom AI model or something? I have no idea how any of that works.

While there's no doubt AI can catch up eventually, I feel like there's a lot of intricacies that it's not close to nailing at the moment. AI is just proving that rendermonkies were monkeys all along. They've been outdated for ages, and the era of photobashing has all but killed them off anyway aside from the top names in the industry.
Something like >>6202819 has always been worthless to me; it's only saving grace is that it being made by a machine is interesting. But what does the painting even tell me? Is this really what someone here wants to create themselves?
Feed me some soul. I'll eat it all up. Cartoonists rise up.
And hell, I'm not going to weep too hard when AI can make all the cartoonists I want, too. Sure, it'll be a little weird, maybe make me feel existential, but I'm not going to pretend I won't relish all the made-for-me cartoons I've always wanted, and maybe I'll ask the AI to make me some porn of me fucking AI schizo's mom for fun too.
