It's not so much an issue with the "personality' of the artist i.e. whether they're the kind of people that habitually draw in large motions or small ones. Even if you get a Large tablet you will likely spend the majority of the time drawing on a small portion of that big surface somewhere near the center. That doesn't mean the rest of the tablet is wasted, though.

Small and even Medium-sized tablets make it very difficult to draw freehand because you're stuffing your entire monitor onto a postcard-sized drawing surface. So to use one example if you draw a circle that has a two inch/5cm whatever circumference in reality on that tablet, that shape will appear upwards of 2-3 times that size when it's translated onto your computer screen. This is where I believe the "disconnect" people report feeling when using conventional tablets comes from, contrary to the prevailing notion that it's because you're "not looking where you draw".

Both the Huion Giano and Intuos Large tablets have similar drawing surface dimensions to the screen of a 15 inch monitor. They are very accurate and pleasant to draw with on most normal 15-23 inch monitors, and I'm pretty insistent on selecting either of those two to the exception of all others because of it.

It's not as great a distance as it looks. With my elbow rested on that folded towel there I can very comfortably reach across most of my keyboard.

I don't know about a book, but maybe I'll make an infographic or a youtube video or something so I can prevent myself from compulsively writing an autistic essay every time the subject comes up-or just stop doing it entirely. It doesn't take all that long but shitposting in such a manner can't be good for my gains in either case.

While I choose not to use them myself, I have to concede that the larger Cintiq models at least provide you with more effective screen real estate to draw on. As a monitor expands in size beyond that 17-20 inch sweet spot the Intuos Large or Giano start to falter in the same way that the smaller models do, and a screen tablet then becomes a more attractive option however over-extravagant they might otherwise be.
