I usually do Steve Hustons method of a sailboat shape for anything other than a front view since it's pretty simple to understand. Then I add in structure and go from there. My only gripe with it is that I can't grasp the 3/4 view very well. Tilts up and down are also very hard but I guess that just comes with practice.

Can someone explain Steve Huston's method of head drawing in terms of a 3/4th view? I can't seem to understand how you proportion the front and sides of the head properly after putting down the sailboat shape.
