/ic/ - Artwork/Critique

I drew about an hour a day for a few months. I guess it wasn't proper or good practice because I still feel like I'm on square one of drawing. Some people I've shown this to really like it, on /ic/ I get told it's a polished turd. So I don't know wtf to do and get upset just by trying. I'm told to learn construction but when I try that it feels more confusing because the lay-in is never accurate.

How do I get better at drawing? Is it OK to keep polishing turds like this?

How do I get back into drawing? I haven't drawn anything in over a month and I'm scared I can't do it anymore.

Also fuck graphite, it's too damn shiny
