And pic related is where I was before I started drawing seriously this year.

You just need to start actually applying yourself and learn with intent. I love when I make mistakes. I fucking love when people tell me something is shit. You know why? Because each critique and mistake, gets me that much closer to a "Hey, this actually looks good!" The more mistakes I make, the quicker I can look at them and find them and correct them. I would hate to look at a drawing and think that it looks bad, but not know why. Because that means I can't improve on it.
