To get a better idea of what advice I can give you. Play around with the pressure of the brush pen, you can get good variation of line weight with it. Draw dots, thin lies, thick lines, dashes, curves, ect. just to get an idea of what lines you can use. Your pic has the same thick line work around it which flattens the image.

Practice your hatching with the fine liner, get clean lines that helps convey the shape and shadow rather darkening the areas. Keep at it, the more tools you have the better.
