I've never been to this board before, but I have a girlfriend that is really into art, and she needs some colored pencils. I have a budget of about $30-$40, so what's the best I could buy her for that price?

Well, now I don't know if I have good gesture or not, guess it's pretty hit and miss? Like I get it right only sometimes? Gesture is a pretty big mystery to me desu, if I seem to get it right sometimes it must be because I've done quite a few, but I don't think it clicks yet. If I could get someone to point out which ones are the bad gestures that'd be helpful.

Could you give an example of this? I get what you mean but I thought I made sure not to have excessive blacks and whites, also I used to make my paintings with too little contrast so I tried to correct that, maybe I'm going overboard?.

photoshop crashed as I was cropping down the image to postable size, with just 15 minutes to go, and the recovered file didn't have any of my layers, just a blank canvas
