This is very backwards. In no way did any of us consent to opting in to begin with and they literally just rolled this out and changed their terms of service. Just because we upload an image on your website also does not mean we relinquish copyright. Like other anons have said, a lot of paperwork is involved in that.
Often times, half of us are drawing copyright characters on top of that. Imagine the messy legality of stealing someone's fanart of a popular series that an AI bro uses a copyrighted character fanart for his "originale comic". They actually have no grounds to do that, they're just very brazen and pretending like we can't do anything about it and throwing their arms up in the air when they're confronted.
