Yeah, the should makes sense there because she's pulling her arm back. It's not quite top down but the legs make more sense since you can see it's a bed. I forgot the names but the muscles are like this. The top part leading to thumb side starts thick in the middle and the bottom part leading to pinky side is thicker in the middle and thin at the start. The silhouette of the arm doesn't change too much if you rotate the hand although the shape is just more defined if the thumb points inward. I suggest using multiple references if none quite match what you want to do otherwise you might as well be drawing from imagination.
