I see. I suppose there's no harm in playing around with colours and just seeing what is fun or not.

I know tracing is a bad crutch, but what about using other art as a skeleton for a pose?

I like a lot of these Oblivion class poses and thought of taking some of them, drawing lines and circles where the important bits are, and drawing the rest based off that
