I have only been drawing for almost 3 years now (started when i was 16, turning 19 this year) and what has worked for me alot is drawing what i like and using reference! i dont really focus too much on hours unless i feel the need to! (i draw around 6 or 3 hours a day or even 1) and also for some reason using simple words like "Detail" while im drawing helps me alot so yeah.
