But he clearly doesn't trace according to the very overlays you linked to. Or do you have a completely different definition of the word "trace"? Obviously his studies resemble the reference he studied, otherwise it wouldn't be a study, but the lines clearly don't line up whatsoever.

Also, why the hell should artists not post their studies if they clearly label them as such?
