Does anybody use their phone for digital art instead of a tablet?

I’ll be traveling abroad to work for a year. I’m thinking of buying the new iPhone (6.1 screen), with a third-party stylus and use it for digital art. I can’t have anything else other than a phone with me.
I also thought about using some tricks like sketching on a physical paper, and scan or photograph the work, to digitize or vectorize it, and then paint/color it with an app like Procreate.

Can I make it work? I usually do all my work on a desktop PC.

I have no interest in digital art. However, since I’ll probably be buying the new iPhone soon, I was wondering if you could actually use it to make good digital art.

Has anyone tried it? Is it feasible? Do you really need a stylus, or is finger-drawing doable?
