It's also worth mentioning the iPencil comes with a spare. That said I think the screen is fine for drawing on as is. First impressions of digital drawing are never good but doesn't take long to get used to.

I'm really not sure where you see the problem. As little as 5% streamling in Procreate gets perfectly fine lines, and some will even prefer more. Why is being able to turn off very natural feeling stabilizers just for the sake of it worth $300 (or more)?

The iPad is second only to the iPad Pro. Saying it "sucks ass" is an ABSURD exaggeration. It is 2nd only to the best portable digital drawing experience in the world right now. I'd say that's still pretty damn good.

For me it's probably thumbnailing. There is no greater stress than trying to find the right pose or composition by accident. Every other one, at best, is a failure and having to do 3-5 iterations that are all only marginally different just feels like I'm puttering and wasting time. And it's hard to find the energy for. Do it too early in the day and it drains your creative energy needed for the final work. Do it too late and you have none left. And I can never do as many as I want either, each one takes a few minutes and since most are failures that means spending hours only to draw a dozen or so messy and tiny drawings that you half way like. I know I probably over do mine so they take longer than most but I also know from experience I usually have no idea what to do when working from bare minimum guides.

But I love to sketch, I love getting lost in the drawing as I blow up the thumbnail and turn a good idea into a solid draft. I love to ink, it's relaxing and satisfying. I don't do much rendering so it's hard to say but what little toning and shading I do I find that's enjoyable too.

>you guys are just a bunch of tryhards, finishing sketchbooks isn't the measure of being a real artist!
>listen to me, I have tons of sketchbooks filled not that it matters or anything!
>it's your finished work that matters, like my finished work because I'm the real artist here!
>not that I'm trying hard to appear that way or anything!
Holy fucking shit dude
