>The channeling shit was bullshit and you actually made someone fall for it knowing nothing about neurology

I wasn't the one supporting the channeling if you scroll up. My responses were just shit posts. Though I was telling the truth about masturbating making me not feel like doing shit.

>Maybe his art is mental masturbation?

That isn't true. It isn't simply doing something - such a simply mindset leads to stagnation. Even genetic algorithms don't simple "do" and action. They constantly change their strategies and changing variables based on goals. For example, with google's walking AI, the goal is distance an it would change it would change how it would ambulate at random, slowly zooming in on the most efficient solution.

Why? Because synapses are mostly agnostic to what is "good" or what is "bad". Hence why people form bad habits or get mentally addicted to drugs.

That is the same with drawing. Simply drawing mindlessly just makes you better at what you already know. It builds up speed and confidence which in itself is important. However, what it doesn't improve easily is aesthetic appeal or the introduction of new concepts/visual language. You need a goal to chase - someone bigger than you are. When you compare your skills to them then you can adjust your strategies to see how much closet it takes you. After that you reinforce your good habits by repetition.

Also I was only taking the bait cause I wanted to change my name lmao. I like keeping my namefag on so I don't need to find it when I come back online

Can you at least explain what the "process" is and examples are?

I mean, I know for me masturbation is just sapping and you don't really want to do shit after, but channeling sexual energy? Yeah Idk. Anon, you nee to elaborate please!

Yev? That guy's art I've just seen is very inspiring (no memes). He is probably one of the few times I've gone on alt-style and actually want to emulate a style.

>Its the only thing that separates IC from literally every other group of artists online

Not really, anonymity is broken as soon as you post your art if you've been posting for a while.

I really like the paint aesthetic. In general art with clean line work in paint really does it for me.

What do you plan on doing? If you answer that maybe I could do. Overall, boxes are useful but that alone will only take you so far if that is all you've been doing to exclusion of all else.

Also are you using perspective lines?

Overall, quantity is really just for strengthening skills you already have. If you draw not-so-good art in large quantities you are just strengthening the connections in your brain related to that. I generally believe that information comes from somewhere, and you large to supply your mind with large streams of this information.

I feel like your work will look way better if you worked more on your proportions. Right now the heads are way to small but it isn't stylize like the hulk where it would make sense.

Also you might want to study more anime heads - specifically the noses. That guys nose on the bottom left is drawn pretty funny.

Aside from that, I envy you - I never have the courage to make a comic

I mean, I didn't say that his colors were astounding but they are pretty good. The story telling in all of his art is very unique.

If you solely read PDF books you won't improve as much as if you practice the skills you learn. Without a performance-learning feedback loop in which you can constantly evaluate your skills, you are only going to learn what to look for when you do eventually paint.

A good way to get a lot of creative ideas out is to just do creative thumbnail sketches. As >>3145449 said you tend to come up with more ideas as you draw

>>3145476
Generally if you have a goal in mind it is good to keep it simple so it is much harder to rationalize. As the days come, you can slowly increase complexity of your goals. Idk if this works, but also try doing the same thing at the same time to strengthen habit making
