yeah so basically to start the box forms you do kind of a isometric perspective and the whole thing looks kinda like cubism idk

the point of the box was i was going to say how you should just memorize how to shade the following scene and use it as a go to for shading box forms when you have nothing else

The design is fine, i can tell you have good taste, you just need to work on learning how to shade, anatomy, lighting perspective, how to create a environment, and how to do all that while making it look pleasant.

I'm 28 years old and have been drawing since I was about 5. Now I'm afraid to ask your age, since I assume you're a lady and could possibly be underage, so I will instead ask how many years have you been drawing, and how many years of your life are you willing to commit to studying and is art the no 1 thing you care about above everything else, ie, is it your passion, your main mode of expression, aka how you make sense of the world.?

and now i click "lock transparent pixels" so that all lines i draw will only fall on the outlines of the box

Now, if you're like me, and you made a layer where it contains your sketch and white space, and you want to isolate the lines quickly by getting rid of the white space; CSP has this handy dandy feature right here "convert brightness to opacity" which will give me what i want, which is that i want to color the black lines on the box greys and white to make it look natural.

Now drop the opacity of the black shape until it "clicks/feels right/looks natural"

for me I stopped at 50% opacity when I said damn thats a fine looking box.

Now create a new layer with a filled in black shape like such. take this time to correct and clean any little sketchy lingering hiccup lines that might still be present from isolating the box from the perspective grid so you end up with a nice, clean silhouette.

now select the whole box. if you're using CSP, look for the magic wand tool, then make sure you have ADD selections enabled, otherwise you're going to be clicking areas one by one instead of adding to the selection each time.

First we select the side of the box with magic wand tool, and drop some gradient shading with varying opacities (just drag the layer opacity slider until it looks good, then do it again, on a new layer, repeat until you have something really crisp and nice looking.)

in my case it ended up being three layers of spraypaint can bounded by the magic wand tool wiith the following respective opacities: 31% 43% 31%

Ok so now erase, erase, erase, and ta-da? we have a wonky-ass box in 3 point perspective with a horizon line.

We're going to apply shading next, but remember, the whole point of doing stupid exercises like these is to do them ad nauseam to the point that you don't have to think about it anymore and it just becomes an integrated tool in your MIND (like jun gi? that the dudes name w/e the asian guy who does the insane perspective drawings, you know the one) and thus begins to occur in your art naturally and organically.

So next, is a weak spot for your boy boxman, i kinda suck at perspective and logical thinking but I'm going to try my best.

We're going to ignore the top vanishing point and just use three points to create a box in THREE point perspective.
