It's literally one anon who keeps posting about him

I followed Zin Lim before this one man propaganda machine though. I think his videos are informative.

Mr Hick and I presume Zin Lim spammer, regarding manuals from the 17th century.
I think a Manual to Oil Painting by John Collier although it is far longer than 45 pages. It's just as helpful and probably even more helpful in terms of learning to "copy".

G.E Hicks a guide to figure drawing is far more beneficial than drawing on the right side of the brain. It's only forty three pages compared to the numerous amount of pages within drawing on the right hand side off the brain. Though with regard to the actual drawing bit the first twenty pages would do just as great. This combined with Zin Lim on YouTube will help provide maximum results

Ok the fastest way anon.
>Draw on Paper, pretty responsive
>Draw vertically, so basically draw on the wall with your reference if you dont have a easel.

Now to the actual drawing bit
> Read G.E Hicks a guide to figure drawing first 25 Pages
> if you have any misunderstandings with a page resd it again
> begin to copy the antiques following the method given by him
> With regards to rendering watch some Zin Lim videos. Those help a lot especially the ones regarding the face

Hope this helps

What you're saying is utter trash, there is a method. Loomis is extremely helpful, i suggest G.E Hicks a guide to fire drawing and Zin Lim. Here's some of my work. I also go to a local painting class and I'm 18.

Anon, i hate to meme but as a beginner the best book is Fun with the Pencil by Loomis.

Ok not keen on reading a 200+ page book on reading cartoons, I've got you aswell try read online G.E Hicks a guide to figure drawing, the first 25 pages are the most important though it only consists of 43 pages. To find the "antiques" mentioned in the book, make use of the Bargue drawing course online its free.

I tend to prefer to start on paper first as it is more responsive.

Lastly you don't have much time for our good old man G.E Hicks either, I've got you aswell.
Head to Youtube and there's a artist called Zin Lim which helped me a ton. Here's a video you should start off with https://youtu.be/9W80Lz0PNSI

Hope this helps, if it were up to me I'd use all the sources mentioned combined. But try focus on one thing.

Hope this helps

Simple your proportions seem correct, though I recommend using straight lines first to capture the proportions correctly. And also indicate the areas of shadow with straight lines. So your work won't simply be line work. In order to learn faster I suggest taking a look at some Zin Lim videos online that may help you, also if you're keen to learn further maybe try take a read of A Guide to figure drawing by G.E Hicks you can find the book easily online
