I'd be surprised if they fixed what I wrote there. I bet I'm the first one calling them out for it. I just know that shit because their autistic bug report niggers told me about it when I clearly told them that the user should be asked for a passphrase when mounting a password protected volume. But apparently OS X makes a distinction between the origin of the volume (transparent to the user, aka. Apple is wrong and I'm right and everybody proved to be a know-it-all-retard again)

The reason Apple takes so long to fix anything are the mouthbreathing retards defending them no matter how stupid decisions they make. It's a GOOD thing that merging two folders destroys data. It's GOOD that I can't choose to not have my laptop go to sleep when closing the lid. It's GOOD that my filesystem corrupts data more than any other. Other people must just be too poor and that's why they say these things are bad. Every decision that daddy Apple makes must be the right one.

So superior no developer adopts it lmao....
>APFS which is superior in every way
Yeah, with security flaws related to encryption on the first year of it's conception.
>Just because it works differently than what you see in Windows doesn't mean it doesn't do it
It's not that it "doesn't do it" it simply doesn't HAVE the SAME feature. Stop coping.

Artist here. Most programs I use still run better on OSX. Also zero Wacom driver issues in six years vs everyone I know with a PC tearing their hair out on a weekly basis because Wangblows 10 did something dumb in an update and now pressure sensitivity doesn’t work any more, driver crashes and disconnects tablet every 20 minutes, etc.

I've been using an imac for about a decade and it needs replacing but I really don't know with what. Current macs are all either underpowered or unaffordable but windows constantly breaks and using it makes me hate computers so much I once gave up on them completely (before I bought a mac). Do I have to learn linux? I'm still afraid about something with the hardware going wrong.

I know it's a meme but the mac I've been using never had a single issue, it doesn't crash, it doesn't break, it never got any virus or malware it really actually literally just werks. But now it's too slow. Why do computers have to be so shit? Why can't there be a stable OS that has a list of preferred hardware components so it can be more like OSX, which, as I've been told, is so stable because of the limited hardware variations that have to be taken into account.

I don't wanna use a computer where half the time is gobbled up by fixing issues that never stop popping up.

A new imac will be fine. Option it with a SSD and you can still upgrade the RAM yourself.

Case insensitivity with case preservation and non-stupid normalization would be ideal, except that then whether one file is the same as another depends on the locale. "Case insensitivity" means different things in different human languages and Unicode doesn't duplicate the basic Latin letters for each language for stupid legacy reasons.

the base model is still fairly good value but it is really underpowered and the prices have become insane when you upgrade ANYTHING on their site. Ram slots are gone on all models so you have to use their or be fucked by insane prices. I also want a monitor with a higher refresh rate and I don't need 5k.

Tes, exactly it's overpriced crap and overheats and the slightest sign of rigorous use but the OS is just so god damn stable. Every time I had windows on a computer I could expect to have to fix something at least once or twice a month.

Wacom's drivers for Windows are fucking horrendous. They forced me to switch to Linux and Krita for drawing.
