>people actually use windows update instead of disabling it

For all this talk about security, MS updates literally open more holes than they fix. Why you would willingly use their updates is beyond me.

Got any data to actually back that up with?

The new alt-tab timeline is literally the best thing that happened to operating systems since the invention of the dock
Call me in 20 years when linux cucks finally manage to half assedly steal it

sure thing amigo. Remember the spectre/meltdown patch specifically created for the sole purpose of stopping those exploits?

NOTHING BUT PLACEBOS.

So they literally didn't open more holes than they fixed, they just failed to plug existing holes (which aren't in the Operating System, I might add).

And then they introduced more bugs, like they do every update.

Yeah, just like how they said meltdown was fixed in 1709. NOW you trust them?

I run common sense AV
I literally cannot be infected by malware. I do not care.

It happens, but now you're including bugs and not just "holes", because you need it to fit your narrative.

I wonder who's behind this post.

You're getting pretty desperate now.
Mistakes were made. It's partly why having such a wide community is great. This is certainly not the first time and won't be the last time someone has released a patch that hasn't entirely fixed the issue.
I would post some examples but that would just be arguing by apologetics, which is silly.

The reality is that you're acting like a child.

I didn't pay for the patch and the testing I did showed no measurable performance decrease.
Intel's BIOS updates are what caused the performance decreases, if anything, and that has nothing to do with Microsoft.
