How is it that I go from a memechanical keyboard (browns equivalent) to this $15 keyboard and my wrist pain magically disappears.

If a flat style keyboard allowing for ergonomics with resting type use is much more comfortable and probably just as fast for typing, what was the point of these hueg keys premium keyboards?

Also, are you considering adding Bluetooth functionality to that keyboard? There's a company making USB adapters; it would be easy enough to rip the guts out of one and cram it into a case. Also dump the "shift" keys already dude. Also while the Miami set looks great on a full keyboard with a black case, it just looks soy here. Get a set of knockoff 1976 blank keys and fit them; you'll be miles better off in the aesthetic department.

They got complacent. You gotta remember when the keyboard industry collapsed, cherry was basically the only torchbearer for awhile.

Now that chinks are starting to get into it (mainly gateron and kailh, outemu are trying but their last 2 projects such as the pro and ice series have been failures)and other enthusiasts are getting into it they are trying to innovate as well.

Cherry has made silent reds and silent blacks. They are also trying to create low profiles as well to compete with Kalih. Fucking Kalih, a shitty cherry mx clone maker only like 5 years ago. They are not the worst because I honestly think blues are the best cherry mx mount switches, but they are realizing that they don't hold a monopoly anymore.

Also unicomp literally bought the entire ibm model m north american branch's molds from IBM. If someone wants to replicate the old buckling springs, they have to somehow replicate it without the specs nor the molds.

The reason why OPs keyboard exists is because some autistic dude literally found the original molds for the model f.

They are not even out yet. They were supposed to come earlier this year, but the company he contracted to made them inferior to the originals. He brought those prototypes to a meetup and alot of people said it was amazing, but he didn't like it because it didn't feel as good as a model f.

I am glad that guy is somewhat autistic and trying to make it true to the model f. Pretty much the only reason I gave him my money.

Copy pasting is objectively easier and faster without having to move your pinky finger.
Your hands naturally sit higher on the alphas, not down near the CTRL key which means you have to move your finger every time you hit CTRL.

I don't know about you, but I use copy-paste a lot more than I do Caps Lock which is never.

>To use the capslock for pernament capilization?
If I want that it's just one extra key away, I want to know the percentage of people that use Caps Lock more frequently than they do CTRL.

>ctrl key is going to make my pinky do gymnastics.
It's literally the exact opposite of that, regular CTRL position forces you to do pinky gymnastics.

And I have a pretty normal sized hand, if not even a little on the bigger side. Not sure on the correct measure but it was larger than average when I was looking at mice sizes.

I am not insecure, I am trying to logically reason why you think that ctrl is possible with a pink on that layout. The only logical answer is that you have extremely small hands. Using your thumb is plausible, but when trying to reach it with my hkkb, it is near impossible.

Is this new old stock with a new USB card, or is this a modern keyboard from some manufacturer that I don't know.

It's a custom keyboard that someone on reddit made. You actually can buy space cadet keycaps, but they cost a lot of money
