those keys are essential to how I write. it takes longer if you have to rely on ctrl+arrows only, but I guess most of the nerds who buy mechanical keyboards are just vidya dorks or man children who use linux because they find it fun when it breaks-- they don't need stability or reliable software, they'll never be professional
anyway; most of these are bad for typing a lot. it's gotta be pretty "aesthetic" for you little men when you type out your little commands on your terminals and you get a loud click, though. lotsa fun for you simple folk to whom computers are but toys of distraction :)

This time-consuming process is not widely used, being reserved for custom products. Examples of companies providing mechanically engraved keycaps include RAFI and QWERkeys.[1] One disadvantage of this process is that dirt will accumulate in the grooves, which does not wipe clean."

I've made the mistake of building a keyboard with vintage cherry clear switches from taobao because they were only 0.4$/ switch and now I have chattering on nearly all of them. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the chattering? The pcb is the xd84 one from aliexpress which I can only program with a shitty webapp where I can't even change the debounce time. Both keyboards aren't thin, if you want thin, you should go for a keyboard that uses low-profile switches. Also, Logitech is notoriously bad, especially the ones that use Romer-G switches. The keyboard that's continuously recommended here is the Ducky One 2 or Tada68. I recommend this: https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Keyboard-Extra-Thin-Switches-HV-KB390L/dp/B0722GG88M

The problem though is that the HAVIT doesn't use browns, in fact, there is no pre-made keyboard with low-profile browns right now, unless you count the Planck Light. Just get a normal keyboard like the Rosewill or Ducky.

I second this recommendarion. I just got one of those about 5 days ago and it's quite a nice keyboard. Blue switches that feel great, good response, and the slim keys are very comfortable to type on, kind of like a cross between a standard mechanical keyboard and a laptop keyboard. The RGB version is only $20 more expensive though and has a number pad, I only didn't get it because I don't care for RGB and liked the smaller size without the number pad. It's not that loud either, I mean blue switches will be somewhat loud no matter what, but the low profile switches seem just a tad more quiet than standard blues.

Good build quality as well, it's very light and thin with good aesthetics.

>> No.64194254

Everything in the OP is horribly outdated, but no one wants to actually build up the Autism to fix them. So instead we have a bunch of retards come in, who know nothing about mechs, mainly because there isn't a comprehensive guide anywhere on the Internet beyond "buy Logitech, Razer, and Corsair man 4 the gaymers", ask the same questions over and over because a layman will probably never find out what a Tada68 or Leopold is without doing extensive research of their own.

I feel like there's this weird Dunning-Kruger effect where the only people that actually promote mechanical keyboards online are just retards that do it for cash, like Linus or Twitch streamers, that have no idea that there's better options than just Cherry Reds, Blues, and Browns, so you'll only see support online for the new Razer RGB 100% Chroma gaymer-slayer or Corsair's new 204 key keyboard the K69 RGB 200% virgin-keeper. I think that's why people have an "end game" to begin with, because you'll only realize you can get a good fully aluminum board with Cherry profile PBT keycaps and full programability at the same price of your shitty Logitech Romer-G keyboard because the shit you found online was lying to you because no one fucking knows better.

Or maybe we should just post in big capital letters in every OP to just buy a Ducky One or something.

Plus 60% looks significantly better to me, which is somewhat of a factor.

Heck, I've been using a 40% at home the last week or so.

This just seems like you sperged for an entire page instead of just giving simple advice like BOX switches exist, or something like the Tada68 exists. It really should be as easy as a tier list with pictures or something.

>> No.64203189

its for for starters do, those things you mention fit more in a buying guide better, will ad vintage keyboard to that section i forgot about them

>> No.64203217

Look at how quickly these things go out of date though.

BOX switches weren't even a thing how many months ago, who knows when the next hot switch will come out.

The same can be said about /pcbg/, you just keep it up to date. There's even a dude in /csg/ that autistically picks posts in a past thread to include them in the OP. We're just a bunch of lazy shitters who can't be arsed to do it.

>> No.64203654

That's my point, no one seems to care to keep /mkg/'s shit up to date.

Should I drop my money on a Drevo Gramr? I'm on the look for a tactile keyboard (could be click, no problem) with the Gramr layout (not talking only about the 84 keys, but the position of fn, Ctrl and Alt keys on the right). I looked into the Noppoo Choc Mini and the Plum 84, but the price tag on the Drevo is quite tempting, and for the price of a Noppoo of Plum I could also buy a custom keycap set and still have money left. Please help me.
