The backlight is a nice feature to me and I keep it in single color, always on. After that it looks pretty normal. It's possible to get some animations with the colors but I don't use that feature. People enjoy mechanical keyboards because they're quality, feel good to type on, look nice and have options for customization. Some questions for you, if you don't mind:

1) Does that nerd PCB have 3 pin or 5 pin switches? (by 5 pin switches I mean those that have 2 more plastic legs)
Do the switches hold alright?

2) Do you prefer Costar or Cherry stabilizers?

3) Would you give up 10% of your dick length for 10% more income?

Beats me. One thing with dyesubbing is that if you don't do it properly, things can get blurry, so maybe that's related to it. I'm not very familiar with the process of dye-subbing though, so don't take my word for it.

1. It supports PCB mounted switches (which is what I'm using). The switches feel just as sturdy as plate mounted switches, though there's some flex in the PCB, so as a whole it doesn't feel as sturdy.

2. I don't have any cherry boards with costar style stabilizers, but I have that AEK II Mini build that I made, I'm not very impressed by them. They don't feel any better than cherry stabs but they're far louder.

3. That's a tough one. Given my current income, no. Maybe once I have a greater income I would. Given that my dick would still be above 18cm in length after the fact, I'd consider it a viable option.

uhh.. never?

When I get the cash together to build a Poker, I'll probably at least write something about the USB side of firmware on STM32. That's mostly because there's not a lot of info out there (at least at an accessible level) and I need like learn how to do it and hopefully pass on the knowledge.
Due to uncertainty of the project and my life in general, I can't tell you anything concrete about when and where (the most concrete is "this year, here").
But it'll probably be shit or never happen at all, so don't worry.

But if you want something now, I know there's at least one built keyboard based on STM32F103 (the 2$ board from Ali):

Your friendly reminder that Zealios are a scam.

$50 + free shipping for 100 switches (Add $10 for international shipping)

$10 + $3.85 for shipping ($8.50 international shipping)

(OPTIONAL*) $9 + $4.50 shipping ($9.00 international shipping)
*not necessary; zealios wouldn't allow close to this much lube from the factory.

Total (US):
$50 + $13.85 + $12.50 = $76.35
Without the lube $61.85!

Should have everything at your door within a week or two.

$75 + $15 shipping ($30 for interational shipping) for 100 switches

Total (US, group-buy prices):
$75 + $15 = $90 with an estimated ship date of "Mid to late June, 2017"

Does the blackbird come in Topre? Cause all what the hipster did is take a HHKB and a realforce numpad, then had some one wire them together to a custom controller and and put them into a custom case. The worst part

I find them a little heavy, but not to the point of being tiring. you can measure the actuation force of the board you don't like for comparison by stacking nickels, which are 5g each.

Thinking about buying a RF 55 to swap the domes into my HHKB, anyone done this?
